Why Sandia Computers?

Over 18 Years of Experience - No other company has been making enthusiast PCs as long as Sandia Computers. We have had a long time to get very good at what we do.

Quality

No other PC maker has such a consistent history of quality products.
Focus

We make PCs for people who care about their system and how it is supported. We don't pretend to make the cheapest office PC or rackmount servers. We don't make printer ink or cell phones.  We focus strictly on desktop and laptop PCs.  We're the best at what we do because it's all we do.
Unique designs, created with a purpose

To us, the case is the very framework of your system, dictating how components interact with each other, how you interact with the system, and how the look of it makes you feel.  We design everything from the airflow to the aesthetics to serve the purpose of the particular system type. You can see, and hear, that difference in every aspect of a Sandia Computer - from cooling performance, to the noise level of the system, to the quality feel of the exterior.
Testing, like no one else

We do an exhaustive "burn-in" of every system and try to make the system fail here at the shop so it will not fail on you. We simulate months of the most tortuous use you could imagine.  From common game and graphic tests to stress programs not available to the public, every system gets put through the wringer. If every part can't pass our tests flawlessly - it doesn't ship.  But that's just the final individual system testing. Sandia Computers has already spent hundreds of hours in testing our system designs themselves as well.  From simple smoke testing like you'd see in a wind tunnel for airflow, we haven't just tested your parts - we've tested our system designs as the entire ecosystem they are.

Perfect cabling

Well routed internal cabling is the mark of a true enthusiast PC maker. You may never even open your case, but the wiring in every Sandia Computer is carefully routed to provide the perfect balance of airflow, accessibility, and aesthetics.

Community Outreach

Sandia Computers believes wholeheartedly in supporting it's community through various forms of outreach and donation. Not only does Sandia love to partner with other local small businesses and support their individual forms of expertise, we also sponsor and support public schools and their sports teams, local ballet companies and other organizations within the performing and fine arts, charities, and a myriad of non-profit organizations within the region. We believe in and strive to make our community stronger and better by contributing in the most beneficial way possible to those various individuals and groups.

About
  • Sandia Computers sprang from an incidental beginning in 1983 at a pawnshop in downtown Albuquerque called Sandia Jewelry and Loan. The Gorelicks began taking computers on loan at the pawnshop and soon self-taught Guru Stu and his tech team were immersed in building their own computer systems.

In 1997 Sandia Computers moved from downtown and opened the current store at 3625 Wyoming NE in Albuquerque, a welcoming “handholding” as well as “hands-on” computer and gadget store. Stu and Karen Gorelick both have dedicated their lives to establishing a reputable business built on family values and integrity.
