COMPANY PROFILE
Stuart and Karen Gorelick, a husband and wife team, launched Sandia Computers in 1983. Stu is the Tech Guru and Karen crunches the numbers and takes care of business.
Sandia Computers sprang from an incidental beginning ― a pawnshop in downtown Albuquerque called Sandia Jewelry and Loan. The Gorelicks began taking computers on loan at the pawnshop and soon self-taught Guru Stu and his tech team were immersed in building their own computer systems.
In 1997 Sandia Computers moved from downtown and opened the current store at 3625 Wyoming NE in Albuquerque, a welcoming “handholding” as well as “hands-on” computer and gadget store. Sandia Computers has built its reputation on the mission statement, “No matter what it costs, take care of the customer.”
Customers
Our customers are thousands of individuals and businesses with only one thing in common: all are looking for the handholding service that is missing everywhere else. They include Fortune 500 companies, universities, local school systems, small and medium-size businesses, self-employed individuals, and the everyday home computer user. And while much of our business consists of serving the local from our Albuquerque store, we are proud that our customer base extends into all 50 states and 11 foreign countries.
